About the role

  • Lead Engineering squads and take responsibility for development, delivery and maintenance of Global Fraud Solutions products
  • Collaborate with Sr. Engineering Manager, CTPO, Product and Business stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute product roadmap
  • Technically support and maintain products under care and focus on quality and speed of delivery
  • Provide thought-leadership during feasibility, analysis and prioritization to maximise technology investments
  • Define independent slices of value for product backlog, prioritised by customer value and documented for engineering clarity
  • Proactively resolve structural, cultural, process and organisational issues
  • Align solution designs with target end-state architecture in partnership with Technical and Solution Architecture team
  • Provide leadership to create and maintain a high performing, agile team and ensure dependencies and risks are managed
  • Create and maintain a technical roadmap for the domain including technical debt
  • Help the team solve complex technical problems and take ownership of production incidents through to resolution
  • Coach, mentor, recruit, onboard and retain engineering talent and conduct performance reviews and career development discussions
  • Review code, provide technical mentorship, stay updated with emerging technologies and guide architectural decisions

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in leading and working within a team
  • Experienced in Technology, People Management and Processes to drive Engineering maturity
  • Able to interact and work with project managers and stakeholders to deliver multiple projects
  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with fluid requirements
  • Knowledge of Open-Source Technologies, Microsoft .NET, various Database technologies, TDD/BDD, Microservices Architecture, Cloud Technologies
  • Proficiency in Core Java programming language and Web development (Vue.js, Angular, Spring Boot)
  • Exposure to CI/CD, cloud and container-based technologies (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, HelmChart)
  • Experience with graph databases such as Janus or Neo4j and UX/UI design principles (major plus)
  • Solid experience in Architecture design, DevSecOps and Agile Methodologies
  • Exposure to architecting and developing high performance systems (desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with AI based development toolsets (Cursor.ai, CoPilot, Windsurf etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
