About the role
- Lead one or more teams of Backend, iOS, Android and/or Web Engineers
- Contribute to product strategy, set project goals and support and mentor your team
- Guide technical strategy of your team
- Enable your team to hit targets for group-level goals and metrics
- Contribute to code reviews and be willing to write code, if needed
- Build dashboards (dd, snowflake, looker, etc), if needed
- Grow a diverse, accomplished group of engineers and scale the tech team
- Create a learning environment and mentor engineers and up-and-coming leaders
- Improve and implement processes and values that scale
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers building and deploying large-scale projects internationally
- Work with teams across product, design, operations, and more
Requirements
- At least 2 years of people management experience (line manager to a team)
- Experience as a Software Engineer building user-focused products at pace
- Experience collaborating with managers, peers, and directs and encouraging code improvements
- Experience taking a team through performance reviews and goal setting
- Experience building a team and growing engineering organisations
- Ability to lead Backend, iOS, Android and/or Web engineering teams
- Willingness to contribute to code reviews and write code when needed
- Ability to build dashboards (dd, Snowflake, Looker, etc.)
- Experience providing technical mentorship and improving processes that scale
- Requirement to be in the Bangalore office at least 3 days a week
