About the role

  • Direct and/or perform engineering and project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets (transmission/gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations, dehydration plants, hydrocarbon storage facilities)
  • Manage third-party contract resources and provide technical/engineering assistance on equipment/system design, pipeline sizing and evaluation, pipeline control, facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Perform project management activities including bid proposals and contracts, AFE preparation and cost management, Management of Change (MOC), material/equipment specifications and selection, construction plans and support, schedules/timelines, project progress reports, and managing change orders
  • Identify equipment efficiencies, complete hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing, and perform liquid flow analysis
  • Research, analyze, prepare and/or approve engineering studies, governmental rules/regulations/codes/standards, pipeline and/or measurement system analyses and recommendations, bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, and material specifications
  • Analyze and provide support for assets and recommend improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operation
  • Evaluate proposed projects by conducting load studies and perform economic analysis for potential new projects and acquisitions
  • Evaluate measurement system designs and recommend improvements to station capacity, operating costs, and measurement/reporting accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with implementation of new processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
  • Experience and training related to transmission/gathering pipeline operations
  • Experience with liquids measurement and regulation activities
  • Experience with processing and/or storage operations
  • Company/governmental operating and safety procedures knowledge
  • Experience with pipeline stress/strain analyses and engineering design criteria for pipeline systems
  • Experience in engineering, operations and/or project management (typically four or more years)
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.
  • Experience preparing project materials, design specifications, contracts, budgets, engineering studies, and reports
  • Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, and load studies
  • Ability to perform hydraulic calculations, pipeline sizing, valve sizing, and liquid flow analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, recommend and implement initiatives, and communicate effectively
  • Applicable driver's license may be required if assigned a company vehicle
  • Licenses and Certifications: None required
