About the role
- Manage assigned territory (Houston, Texas) and drive product demand while maintaining Keystone's 'Light Made Easy' promise
- Provide sales training to Sales Agencies and Distributor customers on the benefits of Keystone products
- Develop long-term relationships with specifiers, customers, sales agents, and end-users to drive demand
- Oversee and manage performance of independent sales agencies; ensure they meet company goals and performance standards
- Develop sales plans with sales agencies and department leadership
- Analyze sales trends to identify opportunities and develop strategies with sales agents
- Become a market expert on Keystone and competitor products, pricing, and trends; report findings to management
- Travel to markets to call on distributors, specifiers, and end-users and update sales agents
- Maintain contact with existing customers for ongoing orders and manage contact information
- Display and attend trade shows and perform cold calling to develop new business
- Work closely with Inside Sales on current and future opportunities and advise product team on market trends
Requirements
- Experience in the lighting industry (required)
- A Bachelor's in Business or a related field (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional ability to listen and formulate responses
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
- Ability to learn new computer systems
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills
