About the role

  • Be responsible for supervision of Disaster Case Management (DCM) operations at the local Level
  • Ensure that clear and concise communications and guidelines are implemented through regular meetings and onsite/virtual visits with the Disaster Case Managers (DCM’s)
  • Monitor and evaluate DCM’s performance and effectiveness through feedback from LTRG teams and Clients
  • Be responsible for the overall success of Survivor recovery in a timely manner
  • Help to recruit, interview, train, develop and evaluate the DCM staff
  • Explain and enforce existing DCMP forms, policies and procedures
  • Implement and monitor performance goals and objectives and performance expectations for DCM’s
  • Regularly monitor client files in the Data Management Systems
  • Ensure case managers develop and maintain 35 client case load
  • Perform periodic performance reviews for DCMs assigned to the team thru BambooHR
  • Must review case files weekly

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related capacity
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Prior experience in managing the operations, services and activities of a recovery or relief project
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Ability to build, maintain and develop professional and support staff
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Able to travel at least 60% of the time (in the county/counties) affected
  • Evening, night, and weekend work as required to meet client availability
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other agencies and entities
  • Ability to work with diverse communities
  • Strong attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and review the work of staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information individually, in small groups or in large sessions
  • Ability to compassionately communicate with and assist survivors
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to manage a team of 10 case managers, and coach for improved performance when necessary
  • Must have the skillset to discipline direct reports with the assistance of HR when necessary
  • Ability to work in a team/committee environment
  • Successfully complete a background check & possible drug screening
