Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to facility Standards of Operating Policies (SOPs) and procedures
- Works with Operations management to ensure goals are achieved
- Assists with investigations and daily operational pharmacy duties
- Monitors training and ensures training is up to date
- Oversees all aspects of pharmacy operations pertaining to license
- Ensures that services adhere to professional standards and applicable laws
- Manages quality, licensing, adherence to policies, procedures and regulations
- Acts as liaison with quality department and assists with resolving issues
Requirements
- Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D
- Minimum of 5 years pharmacy experience
- Minimum of 5 years management experience
- Current active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in applicable state(s) required
- PharmD preferred
- Prior experience with mail order and/or retail pharmacy compliance preferred
- Knowledge of DEA, FDA and state regulations pertaining to handling of controlled substances preferred
