About the role

  • Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks
  • Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers
  • Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications
  • Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows
  • Report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and work closely with colleagues across different teams
  • Day-to-day involvement in the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against clients

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity
  • A positive and solution-focused approach
  • Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English
  • Ability to engage with people in a friendly, helpful, and professional way
  • Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team
  • Aptitude for analysing and using technical information
  • Competence in handling incoming phone calls
  • Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided
  • A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or any field that promotes analytical thinking may be beneficial but is not essential
  • Do you have a grade C or higher in GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent? (implied requirement)
