About the role

• Custody Operations Manager leading the formation of a custody operations team. Building operational infrastructure for settlements, reversals, corrections at U.S. Bank.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and implementation of new operational procedures and controls for the SWP platform
• Manage daily custody operations including settlements, reversals, corrections, and trade services
• Build and scale a high-performing team, including hiring, onboarding, and developing staff
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth platform migration and operational readiness
• Drive process improvement initiatives with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation standards
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and contribute to net income goals
• Monitor and manage operational risks, identifying control gaps and implementing mitigation strategies
• Serve as a people-first leader, fostering a culture of adaptability, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
• Three to five years of management experience
• Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
• Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
• Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred
