Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of new operational procedures and controls for the SWP platform
- Manage daily custody operations including settlements, reversals, corrections, and trade services
- Build and scale a high-performing team, including hiring, onboarding, and developing staff
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth platform migration and operational readiness
- Drive process improvement initiatives with a focus on automation and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation standards
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and contribute to net income goals
- Monitor and manage operational risks, identifying control gaps and implementing mitigation strategies
- Serve as a people-first leader, fostering a culture of adaptability, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
- Three to five years of management experience
- Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
- Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred
