Responsibilities

• Our Cost Management Team proactively manage the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building’s completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation, once the building is up and running.
• The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
• Individually or as part of a team operate processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors.
• Being involved in all aspects of Cost Planning.
• Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals.
• Providing advice on procurement strategy.
• Preparing and issuing tender documents.
• Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying.

Requirements

• Proven technical delivery experience.
• Demonstrable experience managing your own projects within similar sectors.
• Previous experience in a Cost Manager role in a Consultancy environment.
• Employer’s Agent experience is desirable.
• Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
• Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
• Studying toward RICS chartership (or another relevant professional body).
