About the role

  • Take over support requests from the service desk and process them in a solution-oriented manner
  • Forward support requests to relevant specialist departments when root cause lies elsewhere
  • Restore service by eliminating the cause of the fault or providing a workaround
  • Create problem tickets for troubleshooting via Problem Management when root cause cannot be rectified immediately
  • Escalate to development department if solution cannot be found at 2nd Level Support
  • Ensure support requests and incident reports are processed within agreed resolution times and SLAs
  • Escalate via group management if defined SLAs cannot be met
  • Monitor processing status of open support requests and initiate countermeasures for long resolution times
  • Promptly document incident reports according to service agreements
  • Evaluate incident reports, analyze trends, and take measures, including forwarding information to group management
  • Proactively request customer information as part of the service agreement
  • Support handover of installations from project management to Customer Service and document handover
  • Train new employees and check/supplement customer and internal documentation
  • Execute small projects from Customer Service
  • Collaborate in 3-shift operation according to shift planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 3-5 years direct experience preferred
  • Excellent IT knowledge (software, hardware, networks, OS, protocols)
  • Good knowledge of electrics and mechanics
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics processes and automation systems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent command of the English language; German is a plus
  • Ability to record complex technical issues both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Travel expected up to 50%
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities (sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders)
