About the role

  • Lead on high-level anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from initial investigation through to court proceedings
  • Carry out full investigations and enforce tenancy conditions, focusing on higher level ASB and nuisance cases
  • Take witness statements
  • Complete onsite inspections and conduct home visits
  • Work in partnership with external bodies such as the Police and attend meetings
  • Prepare cases for Court hearings in the civil court
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver safe, affordable homes and improve customer experience

Requirements

  • Over 2 years experience in carrying out investigations and preparing cases for Court hearings in either the civil or criminal courts
  • In depth knowledge of neighbour nuisance and the remedies available to landlords and tenants, including possession and injunctions
  • Extensive knowledge of Nuisance and Anti-Social Behaviour procedures and the law surrounding these
  • A qualification in a relevant subject would be advantageous, such as a HNC Housing Studies or relevant qualification
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of the Anti Social Behaviour Act 2014 and The Housing Act and current developments in Housing, Landlord and Tenant law
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A strong team work ethic and the ability to motivate and encourage others
  • Good presentation skills in a wide range of settings
  • A full driving license to complete on site inspections and home visits
  • A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required as part of pre-employment
