About the role

  • Community Health Manager overseeing community grantmaking and investment strategies for Sutter Health. Driving partnerships and local health improvements within defined geographic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and implementation of community grantmaking and investment strategy
  • Oversees the full lifecycle of community health investments
  • Ensures that grantmaking decisions are strategic, transparent, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Builds and sustains strong partnerships with community-based organizations, public agencies, and local leaders
  • Participates in the development of Sutter Health’s tri-annual Community Health Needs Assessment
  • Contributes to internal and external communications that highlight community health activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's: Public Policy, Public Health or Public Administration, or a related field
  • 8 years recent relevant experience
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Significant understanding of community-based organizations and local and statewide Foundations and government agencies
  • Knowledge of public relations and event coordination
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with executives and senior management teams
