About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Unit Managers to achieve operational excellence and drive strategic goals
  • Serve as first-level support for issues requiring escalation and motivate the team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance targets, and facilitate professional development opportunities
  • Monitor work activity, identify improvement areas, assess workflows, and present findings through concise reports
  • Ensure seamless communication between units and encourage sharing and implementation of best practices
  • Collaborate with claims leaders to ensure quality claims management and improve the customer experience
  • Utilize digital tools, data, and analysis to assess risk and support decision-making
  • Lead change management initiatives and project management to improve operational processes and drive strategic initiatives
  • Cultivate a supportive and engaging work environment and communicate effectively across audiences

Requirements

  • Extensive operational experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and sound judgment to deliver quality work promptly
  • Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities
  • A university degree, college diploma, or equivalent education combined with relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a high-performing team of direct reports
  • Minimum of 7 years of operational experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Expertise in Intact Leadership Success Factors such as driving change and taking accountability
  • Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and ownership of work
  • Self-starter mindset with minimal supervision required
