Responsibilities
Identify and develop new contract logistics business opportunities in Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia
Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers, focusing on warehousing, distribution, and value-added services
Conduct customer visits, meetings, and presentations to understand client needs and propose tailored logistics solutions
Lead and support the RFQ/tender process, ensuring timely and accurate commercial proposals in line with company standards
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and deliverable
Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and pricing dynamics in the region
Represent Maersk at local industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities to strengthen market visibility
Ensure smooth handover and implementation of new business to the operations team
Maintain strong client relationships to drive customer retention and expansion
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within logistics or supply chain, preferably in warehousing or 3PL
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Knowledge of the logistics landscape and business culture in Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; local language skills are a plus
A proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams
