About the role

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Banking Account Managers, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and strong employee engagement.
  • Oversee account management activities for Business Banking portfolios, ensuring consistent and proactive client support.
  • Achieve portfolio growth targets.
  • Analyze and report on teams performance to quantitative and qualitative goals, including attrition, retention, cross-sell and referrals to Bank Partner with Business Banking and Business Banking Payments leaders to strengthen collaboration and enhance client experience.
  • Act as a key liaison between account management and senior management and senior leadership, ensuring alignment on strategy, performance, and client needs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and client-first service within the account management team.
  • Drive process improvements, identify opportunities for efficiency, and ensure consistent execution of best practices.
  • Maintain strong business banking knowledge and external awareness to support clients effectively and advise team members on deepening payments only portfolio.
  • Operate from a designated hub location to remain connected to teams and business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in account management, business banking, or related financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience in a people leadership role, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrates strong strategic thought leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Business Banking sales process, partner engagement, and client portfolio management.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence effectively at all levels, including senior leaders.
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills with an executive presence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
