About the role

  • Business Analyst developing solutions for Global Supply Chain at Amgen. Leading projects to implement systems like SAP S/4 as part of digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with business and IS stakeholders
  • Work closely with stakeholders and elicit information from them in order to understand true business needs
  • Lead and support the design, analysis, and estimation of various projects and enhancements
  • Work closely with the business to understand issues and needs, identify and document business requirements as user stories clearly, and help the team identify solutions that address business problems
  • Be the functional lead that owns the end-to-end solution from the IS side
  • Understand the requirement and impact to business in order to identify the right priorities
  • Understand and be able to review the solution and validate that it meets the requirements from the business
  • Drive and manage business initiatives
  • Understand technology strategy and help develop business case alternatives that anticipate the future direction of the business
  • Work with the product team to facilitate project and enhancement assessments of feasibility, impact, and effort required to implement changes in response to business requirements
  • Exhibit business process expertise in overall Order to Cash, including Transportation and Warehouse Management
  • Utilize AI to solve business problems

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of information systems experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of information systems experience OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of information systems experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of information systems experience
  • Proven experience in the following areas: business analysis, defining a business case, leading discussions with business and IS stakeholders, modeling requirements, validating solutions, project and product management, and creating and maintaining a backlog of user stories
  • Knowledge in the following areas: SAP Sales and Distribution, master data concepts, and SAP Warehouse Management System
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, virtual team environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators and influence executive leaders
  • Experience working in highly collaborative cross-functional environments (e.g., SAFe) and managing large and sophisticated programs
  • Technical curiosity with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to successfully prioritize a diverse workload to meet deadlines and collaboration expectations
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Technical knowledge as it relates to digital transformation at the enterprise level, including mergers and acquisitions
