About the role

  • Generate periodic work in progress reports and submit to attorneys for their review.
  • Edit prebills as indicated by attorneys, as needed, to present a professional invoice to our clients.
  • Fully review prebills, correcting spelling and grammar, as well as confirming accuracy and appropriateness of what is being billed.
  • Post bills and issue to clients, as appropriate, specific for the type of bill and type of client.
  • Handle complex billing issues, including revising, reissuing, unposting, refunding, and applying prepaid and/or Trust amounts.
  • Additional cross training based on skills and interests.
  • Assume additional duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in law firm billing is preferred; other billing experience is required.
  • Strong command of spelling and grammar.
  • A minimum of (3) years accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dedication to quality, detail, and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Superior time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and concise manner, in written form and verbally.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
