About the role
- Billing Specialist managing customer invoices and supporting revenue cycle specialists at Lewis Tree Service. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring accuracy in a high-volume billing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Revenue Cycle Specialists with weekly payroll verification and analysis
- Review and analyze timesheets, including revenue and equipment usage
- Produce customer invoices accurately and in accordance with contract terms
- Reconcile invoices, reports, and billing data across systems and customer portals
- Complete data entry and process requested reports accurately and efficiently
- Support resolution of billing issues for internal teams, customers, and external partners
- Distribute billing and payroll related information to field personnel as needed
- Report on the status of outstanding accounts and billing discrepancies
- Assist with developing and implementing process improvements within billing operations
- Ensure billing functions are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with customer contracts
- Train new employees on billing systems including ERP, data collection tools, and Tiempo
- Create, review, and reconcile utility billing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support a positive partner experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Two or more years of experience in accounting, billing, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or accounting software
- Solid business acumen and problem solving ability
