About the role

• Director of Data Analytics leading the data function and scaling analytics capabilities at Kpler. Overseeing Data Engineering, Business Analytics, and Product Analytics roles for strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a holistic data strategy that aligns with company priorities and drives the evolution of our data infrastructure and analytics culture.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team across data engineering, business analytics, and product analytics, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Oversee the design, scalability, and reliability of the company’s data warehouse and pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure data flows across systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define data architecture standards and implement best-in-class tooling for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Develop consistent, trusted business and product metrics, analytical models, and dashboards to improve visibility, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.
• Implement master data management and governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all data assets.
• Establish scalable processes to proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues.
• Partner with executives and department leaders to identify high-impact, data-driven opportunities that accelerate business and product outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data-focused roles (engineering, analytics, or data science), with at least 3+ years in a leadership capacity at a tech scale-up or fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures (cloud data warehouses, ETL/ELT, data modeling), analytics tools (SQL, Python, dbt, Looker, Power BI, or similar), and data governance frameworks.
• Proven track record of leveraging data to drive strategy, optimize processes, and improve product and business performance.
• Ability to balance hands-on problem solving with long-term vision; you can roll up your sleeves when needed while thinking strategically about scalability and impact.
• Excellent communicator and partner who can bridge technical and non-technical teams, fostering alignment and shared understanding.
• A passion for experimentation, continuous learning, and exploring new technologies in data science and AI.
• Bonus: Experience building data functions from the ground up in a SaaS environment, exposure to AI/ML applications, or experience supporting data products and embedded analytics
