About the role

Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate discipline resources to projects.
- Work closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules and quality.
- Track performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, partners and other internal disciplines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and initiate preventive measures.
- Provide technical leadership for electrical switchgear projects.
- Mentor and support engineers and technicians in the design, verification and implementation of technical solutions.
- Oversee technical reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of team members.
- Evaluate performance and support employees' career progression.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Manage project budgets to achieve expected results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including some experience in engineering consulting.
- Strong knowledge of standards and codes applicable to electrical switchgear.
- Proven experience with medium and high voltage systems, including Hydro-Québec specifications.
- Technical leadership, strong organizational skills and ability to mobilize a team.
