About the role
- Backend Engineer developing scalable backend services for JustPlay’s mobile gaming platform. Collaborating with product team to enhance performance and functionality in a flexible environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable backend services for the JustPlay platform
- Work closely with the product team to enhance performance and functionality
- Manage and optimize our backend codebase, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance
- Implement microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration with other systems
- Stay ahead of technology trends, introducing best practices to improve development efficiency
Requirements
- You have deep knowledge of Java, OOP, and programming best practices
- You possess solid experience with SQL (MySQL) and database design
- You have hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and microservices architecture
- You excel in algorithmic thinking and problem-solving
- Nice to Have: You have experience with Kotlin (as JustPlay’s backend is written in Kotlin)
- You are familiar with tools like Google Guice, Gradle, Liquibase, gRPC, and Terraform
