About the role

Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and respond to financial risks inherent in the pricing and development of health insurance products
- Advance Cost of Care strategies using data and technology
- Prepare and interpret data and related formulae
- Monitor trend of profit and profitability by line of business and/or product
- Serve on major, multi-function projects as Actuarial representative
- Organize and direct the staffing and work flow of the section
- Work in-office at least 3 days per week to foster collaboration and connectivity
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree and minimum of 6 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience
- FSA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA)
- Strong ability to work with complex data sets, identify patterns, and interpret results
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and AI concepts
- Experience with data management systems and databases, including SQL
- Knowledge of software and tools and awareness of new technologies
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, data methodologies, and regulatory changes
