About the role

  • Report directly to the Corporate Controller and oversee the corporate accounting function.
  • Manage global accounting operations including consolidation and elimination processes, intercompany accounting, corporate accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead financial systems initiatives, process improvements, and automation efforts across global accounting functions.
  • Develop and deliver monthly reports and dashboards in collaboration with IT, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead and supervise accounting personnel and external resources; provide coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Conduct finance and system training for accounting staff and broader finance teams.
  • Support internal and external audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors regarding accounting matters.
  • Manage accounting integration for acquisitions/divestitures, including intercompany transactions and legal entity changes.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Tax to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America.
  • Present in finance meetings and training sessions and lead/participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
  • CPA certification or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation preferred.
  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Initiative-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to present effectively in small and large group settings.
  • High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset; ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards Financials, Planning Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
