About the role

  • Reports directly to the Corporate Controller and oversees the corporate accounting function.
  • Manage global accounting operations including consolidation and elimination processes, intercompany accounting, corporate accruals, acquisition and divestiture accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead financial systems initiatives, process improvements, and training programs for the accounting team.
  • Serve as a liaison to finance and accounting teams across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific to ensure consistent global processes.
  • Support internal and external audits and act as primary contact for external auditors regarding accounting matters.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close and global consolidation activities.
  • Maintain and document internal controls across general accounting processes including financial close, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Manage accounting integration for acquisitions/divestitures including intercompany transactions and legal entity changes.
  • Drive process improvements, promote best practices, lean standards, and automation across global accounting functions.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support development and implementation of accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Tax department to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
  • Manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America in coordination with business units and customer service teams.
  • Present in finance meetings and training sessions and lead/participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
  • CPA certification or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation preferred.
  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Initiative-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to present effectively in both small and large group settings.
  • High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards Financials, Planning Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Presently this position is in a hybrid status with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
