About the role

  • Provide overall accounting management and support the achievement of organizational goals
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continued business growth
  • Review and reconcile financial statements, loan balances, subledgers, and credit card accounts
  • Prepare financial information for external tax filing, including year-end 1099s and W-2s
  • Manage sales and use tax filings (Missouri & Illinois)
  • Process weekly payroll (union, hourly, salaried) and related entries using third-party software and Sage
  • Administer payroll-related tasks including deductions, garnishments, benefits, certified payroll reports, and Simple IRA contributions
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
  • Ensure compliance with union agreements, including labor cost updates and wage changes
  • Support audits (union, insurance, payroll) and assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Office 365, and Sage software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
