About the role

  • Oversee the monthly close process for multiple subsidiaries
  • Oversee and streamline the AP process, including travel, expense reimbursement, & 1099 filing
  • Oversee the payroll process, including benefit deductions and state payroll tax accounts
  • Oversee the 401(k) program, including matching and compliance reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Manage the chart of accounts
  • Supervise offshore accounting staff and collaborate with other departments
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and other ad hoc reporting
  • Support the audit of financials and internal controls
  • Participate in systems/process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
  • Assist with M&A activities, including systems integrations
  • Assist with the completion and documentation of internal controls
  • Assist with corporate tax return supporting documentation
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support strategic decision-making with accurate financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite experience preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience overseeing payroll, benefit deductions, and state payroll tax accounts
  • Experience with AP processes, travel and expense reimbursement, and 1099 filing
  • Experience supervising offshore accounting staff
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting
  • Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and corporate tax return documentation
  • Experience with systems/process improvements, finance transformation, and M&A systems integrations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
