About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE strategies aligned with industry best practice.
- Lead risk assessments, COSHH programs, and safe systems of work.
- Act as the site technical expert for Health, Safety & Environment.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (HSE, Environment Agency, Fire Service).
- Drive behavioural safety programmes and coach colleagues at all levels.
- Deliver Operational Excellence HSE roadmaps and continuous improvement plans.
- Monitor KPIs, accident statistics, and compliance audits (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH membership.
- Environmental qualification (AIEMA desirable).
- Proven experience in HSE management within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
