About the role
- Business Analyst working with SQL for data analysis and interacting with clients at Zema Global. Focus on documentation and communication within a newly built team in dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with SQL and other analysis tools to investigate data sources, targets, and flows
- Make sure the data is accurate, consistent, and well understood
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients
- Handle requirement discussions, updates on fixes and enhancements, and any questions that come up
- Build and maintain complete, clear documentation for each data adapter
- Capture business logic, mapping rules, test cases, and user guides using JIRA and Confluence
- Translate client needs into actionable tasks for the development team
- Coordinate between clients and technical teams to resolve problems quickly and keep client satisfaction high
Requirements
- 3–6 years in data analysis or a closely related role
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on data analysis experience
- Experience working in ETL data warehouse environments
- Ability to query data in AWS services such as DynamoDB and RDS
- Fluent, professional English—written and verbal
- Solid experience using JIRA and Confluence to create and maintain technical and project documentation
- Confident working directly with clients and engineering teams
- Proven ability to clarify requirements and resolve complex issues
- Proactive, independent, collaborative, patient, and comfortable in a newly built team where processes are still evolving
- Nice-to-Have: Experience working with financial data or financial systems, strong problem-solving skills, bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field, familiarity with financial terminology and integration patterns.
