About the role

  • Technical Writer preparing and editing documentation for federal government projects. Creating user-friendly content through collaboration with developers and technical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering system operations, testing, and user documentation.
  • Writes and edits technical documentation for all of the project’s hardware and software to include installation, configuration and ho-to-documentation.
  • Creates code documentation for software; produces implantation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultation with technical personnel and other available resources.
  • The Technical Writer shall be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for the HPC organization’s software products, services, and processes. This role requires strong writing skills, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to translate complex information into user friendly content.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
  • Six (6) years’ experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
