About the role

  • Breeding Support Specialist supporting the plant breeding group at Corteva in Brittany, France. Involved in nursery activities, inbred seed management and molecular breeding research.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the files required for selection decision meetings
  • Supervise assigned projects (line maintenance, genomic predictions, hybrid production)
  • Evaluate field trials and collaborate to ensure excellent phenotyping
  • Oversee nursery activities, including scoring and characterization of lines
  • Play a key role in a selection deployment program
  • Plan new experiments and tasks with the Research Director and breeding support team

Requirements

  • MSc in plant breeding, agronomy, or a related field
  • Preferable professional experience in plant research
  • Fluency in English and French required
  • Knowledge of data management and analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of genetics, plant breeding, statistics, and molecular biology
