About the role
- Program Director leading critical data centre migration initiatives at Worldpay. Overseeing a significant infrastructure program to transition critical payment technology with strong stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Leading the overarching data centre migration program, driving delivery across multiple technology and business domains
- Establishing and managing program governance to ensure that risks, dependencies and issues are surfaced and resolved proactively
- Coordinating and aligning activity across key workstreams: Infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Non-Stops, Database), Networks, Physical Security, Facilities, Cyber Security, TSO (production platform owners), CTO (engineering), Testing, Finance/Procurement, 3rd Party Colo Provider, and Migration Partner
- Holding senior stakeholders to account for milestone delivery, risk ownership, resourcing and readiness
- Partnering with Finance and Procurement to manage program costs, contracts and vendor performance
- Overseeing migration planning, execution and testing to ensure a controlled, low-risk transition of critical platforms
- Providing clear, confident reporting and communication to executive stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large-scale data centre migration programs spanning multiple technologies and stakeholder groups
- Strong program governance expertise, with a track record of managing complex dependencies, risks and issues in fast-moving environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior technology and business leaders
- A decisive, assertive and delivery-focused approach, with the confidence to hold others accountable while fostering collaboration
- Demonstrable experience coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver against fixed timelines
- Broad understanding of infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, security, and platform operations
- Added bonus if you have:
- Experience delivering programs in highly regulated industries, such as financial services or payments
- Familiarity with both traditional data centre and hybrid cloud operating models
- Hands-on involvement in discovery, planning and lift-and-shift execution with third-party migration vendors
- Experience with public cloud hosting models and integration patterns
- Strong commercial acumen supporting cost tracking, vendor management and contract governance.
