About the role
- Lead CX/UX Designer in hybrid role focusing on mobile app for clinical knowledge access. Work with teams to innovate healthcare applications.
Responsibilities
- Help lead the effort to foster a mobile-first design culture as we expand Expert AI’s capabilities on iOS and Android
- Report to the Associate Director, CX/UX Design
- Work under the leadership of the VP, User Experience & Design
- Collaborate as part of the UpToDate Expert AI team to redefine how clinical knowledge is accessed and applied at the point of care
Requirements
- 10 years of experience working as a Lead UX designer – ideally within an agile environment
- Hands-on experience building mobile web and native apps
- Familiar with principles of Lean Product and Lean UX
- Ability to build trusted relationships and act as a liaison among the UX, product, clinical, and technology teams to ensure standards of excellence are met
- Ability to work with limited guidance and make decisions independently is a must
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university (or equivalent) in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communication & Multimedia Design/Media Technology, Information Architecture or related field
- Experience vibe coding prototypes for quick proof of concepts
- Experience working with design systems and familiar with creating UX patterns
- Experience adhering to WCAG compliance and standards
- Mastered design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience with requirements management and complex projects
- Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
