Principal UX Designer driving the design vision for AI-powered applications at Progress. Leading and mentoring design teams for scalable, accessible user experiences.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the end-to-end UX strategy for multiple key infrastructure products setting the standard for design quality and innovation
Partner with product managers and engineers to define product direction, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
Lead and mentor designers, setting best practices in UX, interaction design, and design systems
Use Figma to design, prototype, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in real time
Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation of designs, providing guidance on interaction patterns and front-end integration
Contribute to the development and adoption of the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across applications
Translate complex user needs and workflows into simple, elegant design solutions
Advocate for accessibility, usability, and user-centered design throughout the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Product Design is preferred
Equivalent professional experience, typically 6-8 years in UX/product design, including 2–3 years in a senior or principal-level role
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design
Solid understanding of front-end development practices; Hands-on coding ability in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Ability to prototype and test ideas using modern design and prototyping tools
Strong communication and storytelling skills
Experience working with agile product teams in fast-paced environments and designing for SaaS products
Experience with design tokens, theming, or scalable design systems.
