About the role
- Bio Solids Operations Support Engineer managing consultants and contractors in organic waste processing facilities. Responsible for project management and compliance in environmental engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Engage, direct, and manage consultants and contractors performing work at organic waste processing facilities
- Maintain a strong working relationship with local WM operations staff
- Support staff training and development of SOP’s
- Manage organics construction projects from overseeing the preparation of construction plans to final project close-out
- Actively develop, manage and track capital budgets for engineering and construction projects
- Provide continuous evaluation of sites for adherence to construction and permit documents
- Collaborate with other professionals and subject matter experts
- Participate in review of acquisitions and coordination and evaluation of divestitures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar area of study
- 5 years of Knowledge and experience in both design and field work
- Developing engineering documentation (such as layouts, P&ID's, operations plans, etc.)
- Project management, focusing on scheduling, budgeting, risk management, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with wastewater, biosolids or similar waste treatment processes
- Proficient in MS Suite and MS Project, CADD, Bluebeam, and ProCore
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate/interact professionally with a variety of audiences
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- In depth knowledge of environmental regulations
- Understanding of capital cost estimating and tracking, accounting processes and P&L statements.
