About the role

  • PMO Manager helping in the establishment of the Project Management Office for strategic initiatives. Overseeing project guidelines and standards for success and transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, further develop and embed the central Project Management Office (PMO) as a staff unit reporting to executive management
  • Support executive management in translating corporate strategy into programs, projects and concrete measures
  • Structure, prioritize and steer strategic projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a company-wide project landscape (roadmaps, milestones, dependencies)
  • Ensure consistent project methodologies, standards and tools across the company
  • Monitor project progress with regard to schedules, costs, quality and target achievement
  • Perform project and portfolio controlling including status reports, decision papers and management dashboards
  • Identify risks, deviations and conflicting objectives and derive appropriate measures
  • Facilitate project steering committees and workshops
  • Work closely with executive management, leaders and business units
  • Support change and transformation projects
  • Develop appropriate KPIs to measure success

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in project management, PMO or strategic-related functions
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of business processes, organizational structures and commercial relationships
  • Confident use of project management methods (classic/waterfall, hybrid or agile)
  • Experience in project and portfolio controlling
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Experience in management consulting is an advantage
