PMO Manager helping in the establishment of the Project Management Office for strategic initiatives. Overseeing project guidelines and standards for success and transparency.
Responsibilities
Establish, further develop and embed the central Project Management Office (PMO) as a staff unit reporting to executive management
Support executive management in translating corporate strategy into programs, projects and concrete measures
Structure, prioritize and steer strategic projects and initiatives
Develop and maintain a company-wide project landscape (roadmaps, milestones, dependencies)
Ensure consistent project methodologies, standards and tools across the company
Monitor project progress with regard to schedules, costs, quality and target achievement
Perform project and portfolio controlling including status reports, decision papers and management dashboards
Identify risks, deviations and conflicting objectives and derive appropriate measures
Facilitate project steering committees and workshops
Work closely with executive management, leaders and business units
Support change and transformation projects
Develop appropriate KPIs to measure success
Requirements
Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
Several years of professional experience in project management, PMO or strategic-related functions
Strong understanding of business processes, organizational structures and commercial relationships
Confident use of project management methods (classic/waterfall, hybrid or agile)
Experience in project and portfolio controlling
Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Good written and spoken English
Experience in management consulting is an advantage
