About the role
- Category Manager responsible for strategic procurement in Site Services & Utilities at multiple locations of Westlake in Germany. Leading complex projects and negotiations for a significant budget.
Responsibilities
- Strategic responsibility for the Site Services & Utilities categories across multiple Vinnolit sites in Germany, with an annual purchasing volume of approximately EUR 140 million
- Development and implementation of category strategies and management of a multi-year project and savings portfolio
- Subject-matter expertise and advisory support for internal stakeholders (including R&D, SCM, Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Site Management, EHS, Operations, Legal, Finance)
- Leading complex contract and price negotiations and building long-term supplier partnerships
- Market and supply-chain monitoring to identify risks and opportunities at an early stage
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category management and strategic sourcing
- Proven experience in site services and utilities
- Successfully managed complex, multi-site projects
- Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management and contract drafting/management
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strategic thinker, able to work independently and make decisions in complex environments
- Excellent German and English skills; Dutch is a plus
- Willingness to travel within Germany for approximately 15% of your working time
