About the role

  • Licensing Engineering Intern managing safety evaluations and reports for nuclear power plants. Collaborating on projects and developing expertise in nuclear regulations within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage licensing activities like: Safety Evaluations for Design Changes, ALARA analyses, Environmental Assessments, FSAR of NPP analyses, Seismic & Environmental Qualifications (Seismic & EQ) Analysis.
  • Follow up on License Basis Regulations and Conditioned Application Regulations (NAC).
  • Preparation of Engineering Studies and Technical Reports related to Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection.
  • Participate in local and international projects developing multiple assignments.
  • Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
  • Develop expertise in US and international nuclear regulations.
  • Create licensing and technical submittals for utilities and nuclear regulators.
  • Work in teams to resolve critical issues affecting the construction and operation of nuclear power plants.
  • Maintain business relationships with other Westinghouse engineers and customers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Availability to travel to Westinghouse or Customer site (international travel included).
  • Proficient in Spanish and English.
