About the role

  • Community Manager managing one of CLS Living's vibrant residential housing communities. Overseeing day-to-day operations, team development, financial performance, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • CLS Living is looking to welcome a dynamic and experienced Community Manager to lead one of our vibrant residential housing communities.
  • Serve as a customer-focused leader, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, team development, financial performance, and strategic planning.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team that embodies the values and culture of CLS Living.
  • Drive team to achieve performance indicators, offering feedback to underperforming associates, and managing disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and professional environment for both staff and residents.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in landlord/tenant statutes, Fair Housing, and safety regulations.
  • Manage the client/owner relationship by meeting with the owners, conducting property tours, providing updates, and responding to owner requests as needed.
  • Oversee daily operations, including leasing, maintenance, customer service, and vendor management.
  • Maintain occupancy at/or above 95% and collections at/or above 95% of potential income, or in accordance with the approved operating budget.
  • Lead the development and execution of an annual marketing plan and track daily/weekly leasing goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3-5 years of experience in multifamily housing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Success in a leadership role with at least 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and property management software (Yardi preferred).
  • Familiarity with both market-rate and LIHTC programs is a plus.
  • Understanding and adherence to Fair Housing and EEO laws.
  • Strong skills in staff recruitment and development, financial management, marketing strategy, scheduling, and operational oversight.
