About the role
- Information Security Specialist ensuring the improvement of Information Security Management at Volkswagen Group. Collaborating on security projects and risk assessments in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve the Information Security Management System, including implementation and periodic review of policies and processes.
- Support projects with information security requirements, including supplier assessments, tool evaluations, and user requests, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated from the outset.
- Support dedicated information security initiatives, such as implementing and managing specific security controls or ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS 2.0).
- Perform and contribute to regular risk assessments, identify potential threats, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to end-to-end management of information security incidents, from detection and response through resolution and lessons learned.
- Participate in internal and external information security audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Lead the annual Information Security Awareness and Training Plan by organizing key initiatives (e.g., Cybersecurity Month, Password Day) and creating engaging communications and awareness content for newsletters and internal channels.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, assisting them in identifying and addressing security threats or incidents.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Knowledge of information security principles, standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of security governance frameworks and risk management principles.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
