EEOCNetwork Engineer
Network Engineer focused on developing and optimizing network solutions for national security missions. Collaborating with teams and utilizing technical skills in network design and architecture.
About the role
- You are primarily responsible for the design, configuration and 3rd-level operation of broadband networks
- You take care of the expansion and reconfiguration of the redundant network infrastructure
- You handle the installation, configuration and commissioning of LAN and WAN solutions
- You drive the automation of network element configuration
- You are responsible for the creation and customization of network management tools
- You work on the deployment and operation of internal servers
- You participate in an on-call rotation with your colleagues
Requirements
- You have completed vocational training as an IT specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification, or you hold a degree in (business) informatics / computer science
- You have experience in routing, switching and operating complex network infrastructures
- Ideally, you have knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, PPP, L2TP, RADIUS
- You are familiar with network equipment from Cisco, Juniper and Nokia
- Ideally, you have experience in network automation
- You may already have initial experience with scripting languages (e.g. bash, Perl, Python)
- You have solid knowledge and hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
- You have a proactive and responsible working style
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile
