About the role

  • Radiologic Technologist performing diagnostic imaging and CT scans at Virtua Health. Responsible for ensuring high quality patient images and safety protocols during examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiologic/CT scan procedures while employing practical and professional experience to provide high quality images
  • Obtains and verifies all pertinent information prior to procedure to support the successful completion of the examination
  • Administers patient preparations according to established department protocols
  • Demonstrates concern for patient comfort, privacy and safety
  • Applies principles of radiation safety and protection at all times
  • Provides coverage for Diagnostic Radiology and CT scan department while coordinating patient flow and support patient volumes

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Imaging/Radiology
  • RT/CT/MRI/IR/Mammo/NMT: A.R.R.T. Certification
  • Ultrasound/Sonographers: ARDMS Certification
  • NJDEP licensure required
  • Minimum of one year experience in CT preferred
  • CPR certification required
