About the role

  • Project Management Officer role at Omexom Energy Projects in Frankfurt am Main. Involvement in project governance, standards development and organization of training.

Responsibilities

  • Assume the governance function for the project organization
  • Further develop the existing review process
  • Select and implement a project management software
  • Support the further development of existing Project Management standards
  • Organize and conduct training
  • Establish standards for project audits and health checks, as well as internal reporting
  • Validate project KPIs against budgets, schedules and other contractual obligations
  • Develop and track action plans with the business units
  • Ensure adherence to defined processes for project reviews
  • Act as a partner to project managers and project controllers for projects with special requirements

Requirements

  • A completed degree (industrial engineering or business administration) or equivalent, ideally with relevant professional experience
  • Project management experience is desirable; certification in common project management standards such as PRINCE, GPM, PMI/PMP or ITIL is a plus
  • Experience in contract management and claims management desirable
  • Knowledge of project planning software (e.g., MS Project) is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Confident user of MS Office and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Knowledge of project planning software such as MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Polarion, or similar is desirable
  • Independent, goal- and results-oriented, structured way of working
