Accounting Manager supporting business operations in Greece for FoodChain ID. Managing accounting, tax filings, and assisting the local General Manager within a multinational environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly closure using Netsuite, GL accounts reconciliations/reclasses, IC reconciliations, AR/AP details, bank details, dividend payments and other cash transfer across the Group;
Coordinate and oversee the tax matters and deal with local advisor and US tax Manager. Tax matters are mainly related to current income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities etc;
Manage Preparation of monthly accrual and related supporting documentation;
Support to Global Finance function in implementing new accounting principles/tools;
Support to Global Finance function in automatizing the internal flow (from paper to shared folders);
Manage and coordinate local statutory audit and all the local filings;
Deal with advisor (accounting, tax, auditors) and provide document to complete statutory, vat and income tax declaration.
Requirements
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations with ideally strong experience with IFRS or US GAAP
Experience of minimum 2 years in Audit (preferably Big 4 or tier 2 audit firms)
Experience of minimum 2 years in a multinational group (ideally operating in service market)
Prefer CPA or other local chartered accountant qualification
Knowledge of Microsoft package (Should have high Excel proficiency)
NetSuite experience a plus – but not required
Ability to work in an international, fast paced and change driven environment
Ability to manage an heterogenous team, composed by many individuals, with different competences and backgrounds;
