About the role

  • Analista Fiscal PL managing direct taxes and compliance tasks at Veolia. Focusing on IRPJ and CSLL obligations while ensuring tax legislation adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate IRPJ and CSLL monthly and quarterly under Lucro Real and Lucro Presumido tax regimes
  • Calculate PIS and COFINS under the cumulative and non-cumulative regimes
  • Analyze and validate the ECD – Escrituração Contábil Digital (Digital Accounting Bookkeeping)
  • Prepare and submit the ECF – Escrituração Contábil Fiscal (Fiscal Accounting Bookkeeping)
  • Control calculation bases, tax rates, additions, exclusions, offsets and tax credits
  • Ensure compliance with current tax legislation, especially with respect to direct taxes
  • Perform monthly accounting-tax reconciliations for IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and COFINS
  • Identify, justify and correct discrepancies between accounting and tax records
  • Maintain spreadsheets, auxiliary controls and tax calculation indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure correct accounting of tax effects and validate fiscal impacts of provisions, JCP (interest on equity), dividends, equity method (equivalência patrimonial) and accounting adjustments
  • Prepare and review tax planning aimed at optimizing IRPJ and CSLL burdens, in compliance with applicable law
  • Assess opportunities for tax incentives and special regimes related to direct taxes (Lei do Bem, regional incentives, PAT, among others)
  • Prepare, review and monitor the filing of ancillary obligations such as DCTF, PER/DCOMP and other declarations related to direct taxes
  • Support tax audits and internal/external audits, preparing documentation, reports and technical justifications
  • Analyze tax impacts of new business activities, contracts, operations and corporate structures, issuing tax opinions when required
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation, including transfer pricing rules, and communicate guidance to internal teams
  • Participate in tax automation projects, system implementations and improvements to internal controls and tax processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and COFINS
  • Experience with ancillary tax obligations and tax reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, TOTVS)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and committed to meeting tax deadlines
