About the role

  • General Accountant Manager for Finance department in France. Responsible for monthly closings, audits, payroll and coordination with tax and HR departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly closings and reporting for the consolidation department.
  • Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis and coordinate audits.
  • Manage payroll postings and reconciliations.
  • Calculate and file VAT returns.
  • Coordinate with tax teams (corporate income tax, VAT, Intrastat, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other departments on the implementation of the e-invoicing reform.
  • Manage fixed assets accounting.
  • Record intercompany invoices and prepare reporting packages for consolidation purposes.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet accounts of all companies on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor balance sheet accounts and, in collaboration with other areas, ensure the accuracy of accounting records and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the HR department on the implementation of a new payroll tool.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of S/4HANA or SAP — mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Google Sheets is a plus).
  • Professional-level English is required (full fluency is a plus).
  • Proactive with strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
