About the role
- Accountant responsible for financial bookkeeping and supporting accounting activities at UPYU. Emphasizing flexibility for individuals with caregiving responsibilities in a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
- Independent work in ongoing financial accounting with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Reviewing, assigning and posting incoming and outgoing invoices
- Recording bank and cash transactions and supporting payment processing in accordance with internal approval workflows
- Performing account reconciliations (general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and, if applicable, intercompany accounts)
- Supporting preparatory tasks for month-end and year-end closings (e.g. reconciliations, document compilation)
- Maintaining and updating master data in the ERP system
- Assisting with VAT- and sales-tax-related queries, in particular through document review and preparatory work
- Clearing open items and coordinating with internal departments
- Handling general administrative tasks, including documentation, filing and supporting processes
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training (e.g. industrial clerk, tax clerk) or an equivalent qualification
- Practical experience in bookkeeping/accounting; experience in individual areas desirable
- Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision)
- Structured and reliable working style with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Team-oriented personality with clear, service-focused communication
- Very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage
