About the role
- General Ledger Accountant ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records at finance team. Supporting month-end, year-end closes and audits while collaborating with finance functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day general ledger activities, including posting journal entries, processing accruals, and performing account reconciliations.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP.
- Conduct general ledger account analysis and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Develop, maintain, and execute SOX controls and process documentation.
- Provide accurate and timely information to support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate closely with other finance functions to streamline and improve accounting processes.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Possess CPA certification or hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Ideally 1 years of relevant accounting experience in General Ledger/Record to Report.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to process changes and business needs.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Knowledge of Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
- Understanding of US GAAP preferred.
