About the role

  • Payroll Specialist managing payroll processes and advising clients on payroll-related issues. Working with the team to optimize payroll operations and coordinate communication with agencies and insurance providers.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing: You independently prepare and deliver monthly payroll and salary statements for our clients on time.
  • Advice on payroll-related matters: As the primary contact person, you answer questions about payroll accounting, tackle complex challenges together with our clients, and work in partnership to optimize their payroll processes.
  • Central point of contact: You coordinate communication with relevant parties such as authorities, health insurance providers and social security agencies.
  • Team collaboration: In close coordination with your colleagues, you support their work related to payroll-relevant client data.
  • Strategic development: You build and expand the payroll/accounting area strategically and continuously develop it in cooperation with management. You drive the digitization and automation of processes and the integration of innovative tools and interfaces to take payroll accounting to the next level.

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training in tax consulting, human resources or an equivalent qualification — further training as a payroll specialist (Fachassistent/-in Lohn und Gehalt) and professional experience qualify you to carry out all payroll accounting tasks.
  • Confident client-facing manner, service orientation and commercial thinking enable you to work with clients as a strategic partner.
  • You have very good knowledge of payroll and social security legislation.
  • Experience with DATEV (Lohn und Gehalt or LODAS) and ideally HR management tools, as well as the ability to adapt to new situations, allow you to take responsibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Your enthusiasm for shaping the future of tax consulting is demonstrated by a strong commitment, creative input and willingness to embrace change.
