About the role

  • Marketing Designer at VanMoof leading design output and guiding brand story creation across marketing channels. Collaborates with teams to ensure visual consistency and craft.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead the VanMoof design guidelines to guide all marketing output for the brand, working with the Creative Director.
  • Oversee and develop all marketing design projects, including paid ads, social posts, CRM and print materials (invites, in-store comms).
  • Consult on design projects outside of marketing and lead by the Industrial Design Team where required and briefed, such as packaging, product manual and app.
  • Develop social and always-on creative concepts as part of marketing plan, overseen by the Creative Director.
  • Support the Creative Director in bringing to life the brand look & feel through art direction.
  • As a small team in a scale-up, involve yourself in other projects away from pure design - this could be concepts, content creation and campaign activity.
  • Guide 3rd parties and any freelance designers brought in on VanMoof design and oversee their work.
  • Actively input and discuss the brand and its evolution in all-marketing and company meetings, making recommendations on what this means for design.

Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years of experience in a design role, ideally across both brand and marketing projects.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, a bonus if you have hands-on experience creating final artworks (DTP).
  • A sharp eye for detail and a solid sense of visual consistency and craft.
  • Familiarity with Figma or other digital design tools (if that’s part of your workflow).
  • A portfolio that shows your ability to create thoughtful, well-executed design work across different formats and channels.
  • Comfortable working with brand guidelines and knowing when to push them forward.
  • Experience and expertise across a range of outputs, including print, social, digital and app.
  • Bonus: experience working in UX design.
  • Bonus: experience with photography direction, animation, or motion design.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A collaborative, positive team spirit and the confidence to give and receive feedback.
