About the role
- Test Engineer developing automated and automatable tests in Schwoich, Austria. Creating validation procedures and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of test benches for automated and automatable tests (HIL simulators - Hardware-in-the-Loop)
- Development and execution of tests to validate product features
- Maintenance and upkeep of automated build and test environments (CI/CD pipelines)
- Development and documentation of automation scripts and application software for validation purposes
- Definition of acceptance criteria for prototypes
- Support during prototype commissioning
Requirements
- Completed technical degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering) or equivalent qualification
- Some professional experience in software testing is desirable
- Experience with programming languages C, C++ and Python
- Knowledge of Ethernet Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocols
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux is a plus
- Understanding of continuous integration and test frameworks (Jenkins/GitLab, etc.) is a plus
- Know-how of industrial fieldbuses (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP) is a plus
- Creative approach to finding technical solutions
- Structured approach and systematic troubleshooting and problem analysis
- Systems thinking and a holistic understanding of overall product functionality
- Very good German and English skills
